BRIEF HISTORY OF THE PDO

CONGREGATION : THE RELIGIOUS OF MARY IMMACULATE CLARETIAN MISSIONARY (RMICM) SISTERS.
Founded in Santiago de Cuba on August 25, 1855, by St. Anthony Mary Claret and Venerable Maria Antonia Paris, the Religious of Mary Immaculate Claretian Missionary Sisters (RMICM) is a Religious Missionary Institute dedicated to serving the evangelizing mission of the Church. Our founders envisioned a vibrant community of women committed to living the Gospel with joy, courage, and compassion.

OUR CALLING

OUR CALLING

Our Congregation was born in the Church to be a new Order—not in doctrine, but in practice—committed to “making the path easier for others” by spreading the Word of God to all creation for the renewal of the Church.

We are called to be women renewed in spirit and practice—servants of the Word, open to all without distinction. In the spirit of the Holy Apostles, we unite action and contemplation to make God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ known, loved, served, and praised by all creation.

OUR MISSION

OUR MISSION

Today, as Claretian Missionary Sisters, we joyfully proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ, seeking the Kingdom of God and His justice through creative forms of evangelization. We strive to renew the Church through fraternity, evangelical poverty, and a deep commitment to those most in need.

We prioritize the proclamation of the Gospel among:

The poor and excluded. Those who have lost their faith. Those who do not yet know Christ

We denounce injustice and actively seek alternatives through dialogue and discernment. Like Jesus, who walked among the sick, the poor, women, children, and strangers, we immerse ourselves in the realities of everyday life, bringing His words and gestures as a path to humanization and hope.

OUR WAY OF LIFE
